Underbody Coating
UNDER COATING IN AUTOMOTIVES
Undercoating can be defined as the process of covering the bottom part of a vehicle with chemical substances like ceramics, rubber and silicone etc. It protects the automotive body parts from corrosion, seals of leakages and provides a good surface finish.
Undercoating process goes through a number of steps ,(1) First the body parts are dipped or rolled through Electrolyte water ,otherwise known as Electrolyte Deposit (ED),(2) After proper mixing of (ED) it is then properly dried to remove the excess moisture present because the presence of moisture may cause uneven level of coatings on the body surface.(3) Then the first layer of paint or premilinary coating is done on the parts for better absorption of paint .(4) Finally the chemical undercoating is done . The coatings may differ from brands to brands , but more the undercoating surface more the value for the automotive vehicle.
