Underbody Coating

• UNDER BODY COATING:

underbody coatin provide long term protection from corrosion to cars underbody. It also protects parts like internal panel,frame rails and other internal cavity that are not physically accesible but prone to corrosion.

steps of under body coating

1) pre- treatment: it removes annd clean excess metal and form an exact surface structure enabeling of a corossion prortection..

2) Electrrodeposition: this is next step in which anti-corrosion layer or rust prevention layer deposite over body.

3) Rust Proof Material : 3rd step is under body coating using pvc material and urathene.sealent appied over doors ,panel hood and interiar or exterior of metal joining parts.

4)primer : apply the powder form primer over the surface ,it improves the adhesion between E- coating and Top Coating

5) top Coat : this is last step of coating i.e TOP Coat.it cocist of two layer ,Base coat and clear coat,Base Coat contain primary coat colouring and topcoat contain envirnnment protective coating

• types of unnderbody coating:

1) Rubberised Underbody Coating :

Rubberised cooating create protective barrier that seal out grit,grime and moisture that could otherwise corrode the metal component. this Coating is Easy to apply and offers sound coushning and protects from digs and dents.

2) Polyurethene Underbody Coating:

this type of coating is Easier to apply ,polyurathene based sealent use for the coating ,it covers all gap, crack over the body . this coating done by using the spraying gun.

3)Paraffin Based under body Coating:

this is cheapest and quickest method of coating to cover undercarriage of the vehicle, but th drawback is it wear out quickly than other type of coating. thiscoating is repeats after one year.

4) Asphalt Based Under body Coating:

this Coating provide more durabilily than other coating then this coating is use for trucks and Heavy Machinery to prevent it rocks dirt damage.

• benefits of under body coating:

1) it insulate the interior of the car from outside extreme temperature of the car.

2) this coating does not removes by hiting the stones

3) reduce the nose inside of the car.

• cons of under body coating:

1) if yours car already have corrossion then it is not helpful.

2)It makes vehicle heavier so it affects to fuel economy.
