Underbody Coating
Under body coating is known as Electrolyte paint coating
once the BIW (BODY IN WHITE) steel structure internal and external parts welding together process completed then the second process which electolyte paint dipping or submerged with certain inclination angle and time to allow full surface is coated with electolyte coating
The main principle is to avoid any lag (UNCOATING) present in the STEEL frame structure BIW
The biw will complete direct contact with electro coating bath to avoid corrosion so that it will act as corrosion resistant for entire stage.
The more electrolyte coating performs the more increase its corrosion resistant life.
After that it will reach heating chamber to dry out from wet condition.
then it will reache primer coating section for again one more dipping in paint coating bath to submerged in particular period of time
the next stage is called as under body sealant region in this is stage very complicated area will be applied primary coating with the help of semi \automatic robot machine operation as per facility of a plant
final stage which is inspection chamber (high lighting) passes through the paint coating area to detect any fault present indication.if not detect it will go to assembly section
there are 5 types of coating stages which are
1.submerged electrolyte coating
2.heating chamber
3.primer deposition coating area
4.under body sealant region
5.final inspection high lighiting chamber
pros:
high corrosion resistant
lifelong withstanding electrolyte coating
cons:
this process is very complicated
high investment cost need
this is very harmful to human and environment
