Underbody Coating
Under body coating :
Under body coating is the type of productive coating coated on the automobiles undersurfaces to avoid corrosion.
Objective or Purposes of Underboady coating :
Under body protective coating is used to protect the vehicle chassis from external environment, to ensure the integrity and safety of car. The use of underbody coating plays a very important role in the service life of the vehicle. In general, it is required to spray such a protective coating in the manufacturing of the new car. Due to the highly competitiveness of new car sales, car producers have pressure to reduce the manufacturing cost, so that they reduce or even completely eliminate the use of under body coating where it is not to be easily seem by car owners. As a consequence, our car service life will be greatly reduced.

Types of Undercoating
1.PU Based
2.Epoxy Based
3.Tar Based or Bitmen Based
1.PU Based;
In the undercoating Polyureathane is used as resin for coating.its has high corrosion resistance and does not allow chalking,withstand on open sunlight.
2.Epoxy Based;
In this Epoxy resin is used which has high bond of adhere property,and good corrosion resitance.high build thichness of coating attained.
3.Tar or Bitmen Based;
Its also have epoxy resin and give high build thickness and high corrosion resitance.its also called Coal Tar Epoxy.
Advantages:
1.Improves the car body life.
2.High resitance to chasis corrosion.
3.Reduce the under bodynoice.
Disadvantages:
1.Cost is high
2.coating process takes time.
