Objective:
- Import the CAD geometry of Intake Manifold.
- Clean up the geometry until no topological error is found.
- Mesh geometry with target/average length of 3mm with no errors.

Procedure:
The engine intake manifold is imported modal file
- Model of intake manifold:

- Geometry cleanup:
- A topo operation is performed on the model to view the attached edges.
- The model is oriented in such a way that outer surface is grey in colour and inner surfaces are yellow in colour.
- The model is checked for its geometrical errors.
- The errors such as single, triple cons are fixed using auto-fix option.
- After clearing all the errors geometry check was rerun to confirm whether all the errors are corrected.

- Shell mesh:
- All the construction lines are rearranged in order to capture the features perfectly and to get a good flow of mesh.
- All the outer surfaces are meshed using trias.
- The curved regions and circular regions are meshed using otho tria elements for perfect capturing of the feature.
- The quality checks are done and minimize the errors.
- Some of the regions, the errors are compromised for better feature capturing.

- Volume mesh:
- The first step is to define the volume.
- It can be done using define option under volume module button in v.mesh module.
- Using tetra fem the volume is meshed.
- The quality check is done for checking collapse errors.
- The tet collapse errors are fixed by using move grids and fix quality options.
- The quality check run to check any quality errors in volume mesh.
- Then, check for kinks or dips on the surface.
- These errors are fixed by using move grids option.

Results:
- Performed geometry clean up.
- Performed tetra meshing with acceptable quality.
Learning Outcomes:
- To fix the geometrical errors for given model.
- Volume defining and meshing.
- Learnt to mesh solid components using tetra mesh.
- Able to mesh the given model by satisfying the quality criteria.
Conclusion:
The intake manifold is volume meshed using ansa with satisfying the quality conditions.
