Structural Modelling using Etabs 2018

Ans. Data required for ETABS analysis

. Pinned support , base+9story (ground to terrace)+1 mumty

. Column 450mm X 600mm , Beam 400mmX500mm slab 150mm thik , shear wall 300 mm thik

. Live load 2.5 KN/m^2 ,floor finish 1.5 KN/m^2

.Wall load 5Kn/m , water tank 20KL over mumty equivalent to 200KN overall load

-Conceptual design consideration before analysis

.Re-entrant and cutout check & modification (compronnise)

.vertical irregularity (soft story)

.Planar irregularity (looks symmetrical)

.2% shear wall area with respect to building area (8m^2)

.Stiffness modifier for column beam & shear wall (0.35 for beam, 0.7 for vertical)

1. go to the ETABS software and edit the grid and story ans in the chaillange

2. Thendeifne the column size and beam and slab and wall

3. then assign the column then beam then shear wall and slab

4. provide the stair and lift area in the plan

5. then define the all load patterns

6. and define the load combination

7. then define the mass sourse data

8. Above tarrece left electrical room and the water tank mumty level as well as

Key point to remember while modding

.No slab no wall load in the ground floor

. proper end relases in beam as per enginer intent

.No interior wall load in terrace

. comparison of static and dynamic force and revising the factor

usally the factor for the responce spectrom in etabs analysis is 9816 so after theinitial calculation it is based on the code requriment goven in the IS 1893

check after analysis___

. model mass participation for frist 3 model dominates at least 65% (achive for X axis only)

.in ux we hade mode 2 and mode 5 in an order . and they add proforming at least 90% it is achived

. Model 1 and model 2 differby 10% achive

. Principal model be grater then trosional mode (achived)

. Inter story draft ratio to 0.004 Achive

. Axial stress in column and shear wall Achived

> base shear between shear wall & column no
