Steering Geometry 1
1. (i) Caster Angle = 5.3762 degrees
(ii) Mechanical Trail = 9.4117 mm
(iii) Longitudinal offset = 18.8235 mm
(iv) king-Pin Inclination = 10.0079 degrees
(v) Scrub Radius = 32.3673 mm
(vi) lateral offset = 82.2638 mm
2. Restoring moment = L.F*(M.T+P.T)
= 68823.5294 N-mm
= 68.82 N-m
3. From the co ordinates given in table we get a positive scrub radius. So to get hard point for neutral scrub radius ,keeeping lower knucle ball joint point fixed and making the scrub radius zero,We ne need new upper knucle ball joint to be changed from (-675,525) to a point where scrub is zero
the new point is (-557.05,486.02)
so any futher points behind (i.e y<557.05 and z<486.02) produces a negative caster.
