Sketch a G+1 residential plan according to Vaastu Shastra and Calculation of Loads as per IS code

Vastu shastra is based on the concept of scientifically combining the basic elements such as earth, water, fire, air and sky
guidelines the position or location of room
- living room is best in north west
- kitchen is best in south east
- bathroom best in north west
- bed room best in south west
- stair case is best in south west
- pooja room best in north east
List of structural drawing need to be provided are:
- centre line drawing
- excavation of footing drawing
- footing and column layout with reinforcement detail
- column schedule with reinforcement details
- plinth beam layout with reinforcement details
- first floor beam layout with reinforcement details
- lift pit and headroom reinforcement details
- lintel drawing with reinforcement details
- electrical and plumbing layout drawing
lets consider the the size of structural elements as
- column = 300 * 300mm
- beam = 230 * 300mm
- slab thickness = 200mm
- height = 4.5m
- wall thickness = 230mm
DEAD LOAD: IS 875 part 1
column : b * d * h * unit weight
= 0.3 * 0.3 * 4.5 * 25
where, unit weight of rcc is 25Kn/m^3
= 10.125 Kn
Beam : b * d * unit weight
= 0.23 * 0.3 * 25
=1.725 Kn/m
Slab : thickness * unit weight
= 0.2 * 25
= 5 kn/m^2
wall : thickness * height * unit weight
= 0.23 * 4.5 * 20
where, unit weight of brick massonry wall is 20 Kn/m^3
= 20.7 KN/m
LIVE LOAD : IS 875 part 2
live load for residential building is taken or concidered as follows
for all room and kitchen - 2Kn/m^2
for toilet and bath room - 2Kn/m^2
for stairs - 3Kn/m^2
for balconies - 3Kn/m^2
WIND LOAD : IS 875 part 3
Pz = 0.6 Vz^2
Vz = Vb * k1 * k2 * k3 * k4
loacation is banglore
Vb = 33 m/s ANNEX A , clause 6.2
to find k1 , from table 1 clause 6.3.1
for 33 m/s is 1
k1 = 1
to find k2, from table 2 , clause 6.3.2.2
for height 10m k2 = 0.8
to find k3 from clause 6.3.3.1
k3 = 1
to find k4 from clause 6.3.4
k4 = 1
therefore,
Vz = 33 * 1 * 0.8 * 1 * 1
=26.4 m/s
Pz= 0.6 * (26.4)^2
= 418.176
= 0.418 kn/m^2
