Section Modulus calculation and optimization
Section modulus of Hood and optimize the design:
The ratio of the outermost fiber's distance from the neutral axis to the area moment of inertia about it is known as the section modulus.
S=I/Ymax
Where, I= Moment of inertia Y= Distance between neutral axis and outermost fiber mm
The amount that the body resists an angular acceleration is known as the moment of inertia, and it is calculated by multiplying each particle's mass by the square of its distance from the axis of rotation.
Moment of Inertia is expressed as I = m × r2
Where,
m = Sum of the product of the mass.
r = Distance from the axis of the rotation.
Neutral Axis: When beam is subjected to pure bending the topmost fibers of the beam are subjected to maximum compression, while the bottom most fiber of the beams are subjected to maximum tension.

CASE-1

As per the section modulus equation,
S = I/Y
I = MOI (min) Value is considered
Y = Total distance / 2
S = 2.8652x10^5/ 439.2
= 0.006522 mm^4
CASE-2:

S = I/Y
I = MOI (min) Value is considered
Y = Total distance / 2
S = 2.90642x10^5/ 439.2
= 0.006620 x 10^3 mm^3
It is clear that by increasing the sectional area, the section modulus can be raised from 0.006522 x 10^3 mm^3 to 0.006620 x 10^3 mm^3.
Draft Analysis:

Conclusion:
Since the moment of inertia and the strength of the material are dirctly correlated, a components strength increase eith sectional area. As, a result, the modulus for hood design is determined, and the design is further improved to raise the section
