Section Modulus calculation and optimization
for this challenge we have made the hood design of the part as a input for this challlenge
firstly we made the intersection of the given part of inner panel and outer panel then we project the 3D curve into 2D curve then we have appliied the trim and extend command for the requre surface to create the close surface of the part we perform section innertia analysis for the given part and then we have to immprove the section modules of the part. to do that we firstly improve the movement of innertia of the part ,for that we made the change the area of the part and then help to improve the part section modules of the part
for first section modulus we take the part projection directly and check the minimum movement of innertia for the given part we have get the values
Movement of Innertia =1.4876826*10^5
Y(distance between newtral axis and the extrim end of the part body )=490
S=I/Y
S=1.4876826*10^5/490
S=289.36mm^3
for second section modulus we take the part projection directly and check the minimum movement of innertia for the given part we have get the values
Movement of Innertia =1.63935905*10^5
Y(distance between newtral axis and the extrim end of the part body )=490
S=I/Y
S=1.63935905*10^5/490
S=334.5630mm^3
form the data we get we know that the if area incrases then the movement of innertia increase and also increase the section modules
we conclude that we are able to make part strengthen by increasing the area of the part.
