Radial Engine Assembly : Week 4 Challenge
1)Piston
A piston is a moving disk enclosed in a cylinder which is made gas-tight by piston rings. The disk moves inside the cylinder as a liquid or gas inside the cylinder expands and contracts. A piston aids in the transformation of heat energy into mechanical work and vice versa.
2)Rod Bush Upper
Rod bush has a very simple and important function. It's responsible for reducing engine vibrations that are experienced while driving a vehicle. It helps in reducing the axle's housing from twisting when one gives acceleration or applies brakes.
3)Rod Bush Lower
Rod bush has a very simple and important function. It's responsible for reducing engine vibrations that are experienced while driving a vehicle. It helps in reducing the axle's housing from twisting when one gives acceleration or applies brakes.
4)Piston Pin
In internal combustion engines, the gudgeon pin (UK, wrist pin or piston pin US) connects the piston to the connecting rod, and provides a bearing for the connecting rod to pivot upon as the piston moves.
5)Master Rod Bearing
An engine rod bearing is a split-sleeve type of bearing (meaning it has two separate semicircular halves or shelves) that keeps the crankshaft and connecting rod in place as they rotate.
