Introduction:
Yacht is a large and usually expensive boat, used for racing or for traveling around for pleasure the Sunseeker is manufacture of yacht boats it is a British luxury performance motor yacht brand. Originally named Poole Power Boats, the company was founded by brothers Robert and John Braithwaite in 1969. The company changed its name to Sunseeker International in 1985 and has since become a global icon. Its headquarters and main assembly facility is in Poole Harbor, at Poole in Dorset, England. Chinese conglomerate Dalian Wanda Group has owned the company since 2013. It is the largest UK-based luxury yacht maker measured by 2012 revenues.
Types of Yacht:
A yacht is first defined either as a sailing yacht, motor yacht, or gulet yacht, and then as a sports or luxury yacht.
- Sailing Yacht:a yacht mainly propelled via wind and sails
- Motor Yacht:a yacht propelled via one or more motors
- Gulet Yacht:a hybrid yacht with both sails and motors
- Open Yacht, Cruiser, Cabin Cruiser, Express Cruiser:an otherwise uncategorized standard yacht for cruising and entertaining
- Luxury Yacht:a yacht that includes high-end finishes and features and the latest in modern performance technology. The term ‘luxury’ can precede any type of yacht, i.e. “luxury motor yacht”, “luxury sailing yacht”, etc.
- Sports Yacht:a yacht geared towards fishing, water sports, or cruising with a sleeker design and more powerful motor for faster cruising speeds. The term ‘sports’ can precede other types of yachts as well, i.e. “sports motor yacht”.
- Catamaran Yacht:a yacht with two hulls (pontoons) often made of fiberglass that can be used in shallow waters.
Yacht Sizes
Yachts can further be defined as a super yacht or megayachts, depending on their size.
- Super yachtsare typically 24 meters (78 feet) and above.
- Megayachtsare typically over 80 meters (260 feet).
Most motor yachts on the market are typically 24 meters (78 feet) or less. There are only a handful of megayachts in the world due to their extravagant price tag.
Yacht Style Categories:
Yachts can further be grouped or defined according to their form and function, such as with fly bridge, sedan, pilot house, and sport fish yachts, for example.
- Classic Motor Yacht:a yacht that was built between the 1920s and 1970s (before today’s modern technology began dominating modern yacht manufacturing). A modern yacht can be built based on the classic motor yacht style.
- Sedan:a popular yacht style with deck space above the hull and living quarters below. The living quarters of a sedan yacht are enclosed and single-level.
- Fly bridge:a sedan-style yacht with an open deck and more comfortable living space above the main bridge of a vessel.
- Day Bridge:a multi-level yacht that is even more open than a fly bridge. Belize Motor yachts are known for creating this distinctive style of yacht.
- Open or enclosed:a term used to describe the layout of and access to the flybridge. In an enclosed fly bridge, access to the above fly bridge is enclosed inside the living space. In an open fly bridge, access to the fly bridge above is open to the elements.
- Down east Style:a low-profile yacht with a large working cockpit and small helm station. This highly recognizable style is inspired by the mid-1900s traditional Maine lobster boat. Back Cove yachts are a shining example of down east-style inspired yachts.
- Pilothouse:A multi-deck yacht like a fly bridge with a larger interior main deck.
- Sky Lounge:an enclosed area at the top of the vessel that provides the benefits of the view but with several amenities, protection from the elements, expansive windows and sometimes a sunroof.
- Cockpit Motor Yacht:a yacht with more cockpit space than deck space.
- Sport fish or Sport Fishing Yacht:A yacht used for fishing with a large cockpit, storage space, and the ability to handle rougher seas. These can also be referred to as Flybridge Sport fish or Sport fish Express and are built for longer durations out on the water.
- Convertible:a yacht that combines features of a standard motor yacht with a sport fish yacht to have entertaining space when you need it, and also fishing space when you need it.
- SUV: a yacht that combines features of a standard motor yacht and sport yacht.
- Tri-Decks: a super yacht with three levels of staggered, enclosed living space.
Expedition Yachts: a large yacht with a deeper displacement hull for more stability and comfort during longer-range trips. Some of Sunseeker Yacht Models are shown in fig1.

Solidworks:
- Solidworksis a solid modelingcomputer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided engineering (CAE) computer program published by Dassault Systems, that runs primarily on Microsoft Windows. While it is possible to run Solidworks on an Intel-based Mac with Windows installed, the application's developer recommends against this. Solidworks does not support macOS.
- According to the publisher, over two million engineersand designers at more than 165,000 companies were using Solidworks as of 2013. Also, according to the company,
- Solidworks is a solid modeler, and utilizes a parametric feature-basedapproach which was initially developed by PTC (Cero/Pro-Engineer) to create models and assemblies. The software is written on Para solid-kernel.
- Parametersrefer to constraints whose values determine the shape or geometry of the model or assembly. Parameters can be either numeric parameters, such as line lengths or circle diameters, or geometric parameters, such as tangent, parallel, concentric, horizontal or vertical, etc. Numeric parameters can be associated with each other through the use of relations, which allow them to capture design intent.
- Design intentis how the creator of the part wants it to respond to changes and updates. For example, you would want the hole at the top of a beverage can to stay at the top surface, regardless of the height or size of the can. Solidworks allows the user to specify that the hole is a feature on the top surface, and will then honor their design intent no matter what height they later assign to the can.
- Featuresrefer to the building blocks of the part. They are the shapes and operations that construct the part. Shape-based features typically begin with a 2D or 3D sketch of shapes such as bosses, holes, slots, etc. This shape is then extruded to add or cut to remove material from the part. Operation-based features are not sketch-based, and include features such as fillets, chamfers, shells, applying draft to the faces of a part, etc
- Building a model in Solidworks usually starts with a 2D sketch (although 3D sketches are available for power users). The sketch consists of geometry such as points, lines, arcs, conics (except the hyperbola), and splines. Dimensions are added to the sketch to define the size and location of the geometry. Relations are used to define attributes such as tangency, parallelism, perpendicularity, and concentricity. The parametric nature of Solidworks means that the dimensions and relations drive the geometry, not the other way around. The dimensions in the sketch can be controlled independently, or by relationships to other parameters inside or outside the sketch.
- In an assembly, the analog to sketch relations are mates. Just as sketch relations define conditions such as tangency, parallelism, and concentricity with respect to sketch geometry, assembly matesdefine equivalent relations with respect to the individual parts or components, allowing the easy construction of assemblies. Solidworks also includes additional advanced mating features such as gear and cam follower mates, which allow modeled gear assemblies to accurately reproduce the rotational movement of an actual gear train.
- Finally, drawings can be created either from parts or assemblies. Views are automatically generated from the solid model, and notes, dimensions and tolerances can then be easily added to the drawing as needed. The drawing module includes most paper sizes and standards (ANSI, ISO, DIN, GOST, JIS, BSIand SAC).
File format:
- Solidworks files (previous to version 2015) use the Microsoft Structured Storagefile format. This means that there are various files embedded within each SLDDRW (drawing files), SLDPRT (part files), SLDASM (assembly files) file, including preview bitmaps and metadata sub-files. Various third-party tools (see COM Structured Storage) can be used to extract these sub-files, although the sub-files in many cases use proprietary binary file formats.
Solidworks allows saving 3D model information instep format, which lets the model be displayed and modified in other platforms from other vendors.

- The assembly of the Predator Yacht consists of all the parts attached 1n appropriate manner with proper mates. The main component hull is first fixed and other parts are mated with respect to its position
- Mates in assembly: Mates in Assembly environment is analogous to relations in part environmBasicly it is the relation between two different components. A Solidworks assembly mate consists of 3 main mates Mainly Standard mates, advanced mates and Mechanical mates.
- Standard mates consist of: Coincident Concentric, Parallel, Tangent, Lock, perpendicular
- A angles and distance mates
- Advanced mates consist of Profile center, Symmetric, Path mate, Width mate, Linear/Linear coupler, Angle and distance mates.
- Mechanical mates consist of Cam, slot, hinge Gear, Rack & pinion, Screw, Universal joint
- The analysis under mates is used to define motion analysis between two com The mates applied to the yacht assembly are shown in figure below
