Project - Speed Control of a Direct Current (DC) motor

Explanation;

zeta=0.5 for underdamped system

zeta=1

poles are calculated and equal in magnitude and real

for zeta=1 matlab function getting error and not able to get results.

A DC has a rotor (rotating part)with a armature winding providing the electric circuit.

vi=load voltage

vf=field function

vb=km dteta/dt

Km and kt are the back emf &torque constants respectively

angular velocity w=teta value

This mechanism induces an electromagnetic force (EMF) in the conductors on the rotor & contibutes to voltage generation.

dia=impedence

A direct control (DC)machine can function as a generator or motor

EXplanation

for this simulink model of DC motor and Spring mass damper system is combined to get the results and modelled it.

Responsible for motor system

refrence=50rad/s

f(t)=constant speed=150 it will will have overshoot and undershots

Motor will start from 0 to 5 theortically.it will start from 0 to and reach 150

The Motor will go to 150 and it will become stable.

IN the graphs attached below it shows settling time from the range 90 to 110 depending the value of reference values it is for 100rad/s

for reference =200 rad/s the setting time will be in the range of 180&220.

reducing rise time slope will increase move to reference line

we have designed dc motor and this mathematical model and we have working with ki kp kd and settling time =5second in my system the values of 90&110 is the overshoot and undershoot range or reference line for speed is greater and lesser than 150

for overshoot and undershoot will not be withinrange.we should change value of Kp,Ki,Kd
