Project - Analysis of a practical automotive wiring circuit

Answer 1 :- BATTERY, STARTER , IGNITION COIL , DISTRIBUTER , GENERATOR, BREAKER,CURRENT AND BATTERY REGULATOR , FOOT SELECTOR SWITCH AND REGULATOR, JUNCTION BLOCK, AMMETER ,FUEL GAUGE AND IGNITION SWITCH.

Answer2 :- 1.Starter motor has a solenoid which kicks out a lever electronically. The gear in the starter is hidden away until the solenoid kicks the gear into place on the teeth of the flywheel of the engine. The key in the ignition initiates the electricity to fire the solenoid. After the solenoid is engaged, the gear teeth in the starter motor start turning, and this turns the flywheel of the engine which starts the car eventually. The gear in the starter motor turns because the starter is an electronic motor with magnets, brushes, and coils.

2.Battery:- The primary functions of battery in automotive engines are to power the starter motor so as to run the engine. All electrical components in a vehicle rely on the battery. In modern cars where most parts like the injector system, spark plug, sensors are also powered by the battery.

3.Generator:- Electric generators work on the principle of electromagnetic induction. A conductor coil (a copper coil tightly wound onto a metal core) is rotated rapidly between the poles of a horseshoe type magnet. The conductor coil along with its core is known as an armature. It's responsible for generating electricity to charge the battery while the engine is running. They also keep the electrical components in the vehicle charged.

Answer 3. 15A fuse

Answer 4. P=V*I

I=P/V = 500/12 =41.666

Answer5. 1. BATTERY AND STARTER

Parallel battery configuration helps increase the duration in which batteries can power equipment

2. GENERATOR AND VOLTAGE REGULATOR

Answer 6. 1. JUNCTION BOX AND CURRENT VOLTAGE REGULATOR SWITCH

A voltmeter measures the potential difference across two points in a circuit. In parallel connection the voltage in the branches remains same and the resistance of the voltmeter is very high so very less amount of current flows through it and thus it doesn't disturbs the original circuit. If it is connected in series then it will just measure the potential difference between two points of a single strand of wire which is obviously zero. Hence voltmeter is connected in parallel to measure voltage.

2.AMMETER AND CURRENT VOLTAGE REGULATOR SWITCH

An Ammeter is used to measure current in the circuit and current remains constant in series circuit. The resistance of Ammeter is very low and thus large amount of current flows through it. In this way it doesn't have any effect on the original circuit. If Ammeter is connected in parallel than because of it's low resistance large amount of current will flow through it instead of the original circuit. Hence Ammeter is connected in series to measure current.
