Project - Analysis of a practical automotive wiring circuit
1.the major elements in the automotive wiring diagram are battery, starter, ignition coil, distributor, generator, fuse, ammeter, gas tank unit, foot selector switch, junction block, ignition switch, horn button, beam light, sealed beam, horn, parking light, stop light switch, tail stop, etc.,
2.ammeter: this ammeter is used as a current indicator and it gives the values to the sensor and it controls the current in the circuit and delivers required amount of curret through the circuit.
foot selector switch: this switch is a mechanical switch that can be rotated right, left, or center to open or close the electrical elements. this functions to control devices and also switch between two or more electrical elements in the circuit.
ignition coil: this coil is used to produce a high voltage from a low voltage from the battery voltage. the high voltage from this coil is nedded to ignite the fuel and start the engine. this ignition coil works when the ignition switch is turn on in the circuit.
3.load current = 10A
fuse rating of the circuit will be greater than the load current because it should be work till the 10A of the load current in the circuit. so the fuse rating will be around 12A-15A in the circuit.
4.load power = 500W
A 12V battery is to be used in the circuit, because to run a 500W load for longer period. since, high power loads cause batteries to lose charge faster; that is current will drain easily.
also the 500Ah is the battery capacity of the circuit. it gives the required amount of current throughout the circuit. and also the 500W load power is easy to manipulate within it.
5.the sealed beam and horn are connected parallel to each other. it is connected from the foot selector switch and it is because of the two elements are to react at the same time while it is turn on or turn off from the switch. so they are connected parallel to each other.
6.the gas tank unit and fuel gauge are connected series to each other. because it should be indicate accurately while the fuel level increase or decrease from the tank accordingly. so they connnected series to each other.
