Challenge

Project - Analysis of a practical automotive wiring circuit

1 . Ans - Battery ,  Starter,   Breake,  Distributor ,  Generator, Gas tank unit,  Ammeter, Junction Block, Horn , Light switch, Fuse,  Current and Voltage Regulator, Parking lamp.

2. Ans.

     Battery:

Purpose - Accept , store and release electricity on  demand.

Working - A chemical reaction  between the metals and the  electrolyte frees more electrons in one metal than it does in

the other.

 Stater:

Purpose -  To rotate (crank ) an internal combustion  engine so to initiate the engine's `opertation under its  own power.

Working -   When  you turn the ignition on,  the stater motor engages and turns the  engine over allowing it to suck in air.

      Generator-

Purpose -  Converts mechanical energy to  electricity for transmission and distribution  over power lines to domestic , commercial , and industrial customers.

Working - The electric generator works on the principle of electromagnetic induction.

Ammeter -

purpose -  To measure the current in a circuit.

Working - The resistance and inductive reactance must be low.

Que . 3 Ans -

Given data

 load = 10 A

Fuse rating  125 - 130 %

                12.5  - 13A

if there is no 13A fuse  in market  we  can purchase    15A fuse

 fuse rating =   15 A

Que 4 Ans.

Given data

P = 500 W

V= 12 V

To find

Capacity of battery

                         P = V*I

                       500 = 12*I

                       I = 500/12

                     I = 41.667A

Battery capacity  is in Amphere hour

for one hour = 41.66*1 = 41.66Amphere hour

Que 5 Ans .   In parallel connection  voltage is same for all components.  for car battery   ,  horn switch,  fuse , horn,  and  light , fuse  , light switch they are connected in parallel connection .

Que . 6 Ans .  In Series connection current is same for all components . in car battery horn , horn switch , fuse are   connected in series connection .
