Project - Analysis of a practical automotive wiring circuit

Q1:

Solution: Fuse, Generator, Battery, Ignition coil, Current and Voltage regulator, Breaker, Distributor, Junction block, Starter, Ammeter, Foot selector switch.

Q2:

Solution :

Battery:

The purpose of the battery is to supply electrical energy to Every part of the circuit. It works by protons and electrons in the cell and the combination of cell will made a battery from Chemical energy to Electrical energy. The positive and Negative terminal of battery is connected on end to end side of circuit.

It works by the flow of electrons from one metal to another metal such as anode and cathode with the help of external connection like circuit will make electricity in it.

Generator :

The purpose of Generator is to convert mechanical energy into electrical energy which opposite to motor. The motion on the input generate electricity and it will stored in the battery.

The working of generator is the coils are winded and mounted near magnets. When the armature starts turning up with mechanical support speed up to increase the magnetic field. The voltage creates in the windings will generates current.

Ignition Coil :

The purpose of ignition coil is make cell voltage into high voltage to create a spark in spark plug to burn the fuel.

The working process of ignition coil , when the current allowed to pass in primary winding which has heavy turns and slowly it stores energy. Once electric upto it's capacity and the breaker turns on which made a high voltage in secondary winding.

Q3:

Solution: given data: load=10A , Voltage=12v

Power= Voltage*current

= 12*10 = 120W

but, fuse rating is more than actual power by 25% P= 120*1.25 = 150W

I=P/V = 150/12 = 12.5A

Fuse rating of load 10A is 12.5A

Q4:

Solution: given data : P=500W, V=12v

Power = Voltage*current

500=12*I

I=500/12 = 41.67A

Capacity = current*time

Capacity= 41.67*1 =41.67Ah

Q5:

Solution: 1.Generator

2.Current and Voltage Regulator

It is connected parallel because they have the same differential of potential voltage across their ends.

Q6:

Solution: 1.Battery

2.Starter

It's has series connection because the same flow of current between them.
