Project - Analysis of a practical automotive wiring circuit
1. Tail Stop, Light Switch, Horn Button, Ammeter, Gas Tank Unit, Plate Light, Dome Light, Dome Light Switch, Tail Stop, Battery, Starter, Ignition Switch, Foot Selector Switch, Current and Voltage Regulator, Generator, Ignition Coil, Distributor, Breaker, Junction Block, Scaled Beam, Parking Lamp, Horn.
2. Generator: It is a device that is used to convert mechanical energy into electrical energy. The electric generator's mechanical energy is usually provided by steam turbines, gas turbines and wind turbines.
Starter: It is a device used to rotate (crank) internal combustion engine, so as to initiate the engine's operation under its own power.
Voltage Regulator: It is a circuit that creates and maintains a fixed output voltage, irrespective of changes to the input voltage or load conditions. Voltage regulators keep the voltages from a power supply within a range that is compatible with the other electrical components.
3. Fuse Rating: For a 10A total load from the battery, the Fuse Rating is 13 Amps (10A*135%) that depends on the type of load.
4. Voltage and Capacity Calculation: P=V*i, Battery voltage: 12V, W-hr to A-hr= (V*I*t)/V= I*t, I=P/t, and 500/12 = 41.6
5. Scale Beam and Horn are connected in Parallel.
6. Plate Light and Tail Stop are connected in Series.
