2. Answer:
Generator: Generator is the device which is used to generate the Eletrical energy.
Working: Generator uses the Mechanical or checmical energy to Generate the eletrical energy. Examples: Rotary Turbines which uses the mechanical energy like coal, Diesel, Wind energy or etc to rotate and generate electricity.
Battery: Battery is the device which is use to store the electrical energy.
Working: In the battery there will be two terminals Positive(Cathode) and Negative(Anode). When the battery is connected to the load the flow of elctrons will take place from Anode to Cathode via the external circuit. The flow of electrons provides an electric current that can be used to do work.
Fuse: Fuse is a safety device that is used to protect against the overflow of current in the electrical circuit.
Working: Fuse will contain the Metalic wire or metalic strip with low melting point, which will melt when there is an overflow of the current in the circuit.
3. Answer:
If the battery is loaded as 10A. Which means that at maximum energy it would use 10A of power. So a 15A fuse would be sufficient.
4. Answer:
Given: The load= 500W
Lets assume that the battery load is 12V, Then the peak voltage required for the load is √2* RMS voltage(12V)
Then the peak voltage required by load is 17V (1.414*12V=16.97V)
The load current is 500W/17V= 29.411A
If the load should run atleast 2 hours then the capacity of the battery should be 2h*29.411A, i.e 58.8Ah should be the capacity of the battery to run atleast for two hours.
5. Two elements which are connected in parallel is Tail stop and Dome light.
6. Two elements that are connected in series are Fuse and Ammeter.
