Project - Analysis of a practical automotive wiring circuit
ANS-1 Battery , Ammeter , Fuse , Generator , Current and Voltage Regulator.
ANS-2 (1) Battery
Source for the current flow in a circuit, which function is to run the motor/generator which convert electrical energy to mechnical energy. It is collection of cell ,Battery have two terminals Anode(-) and cathode(+) which are seprated by Electrolyte. It supply DC Voltage, Found in Two type i.e Primary Batteries and Secondary Batteries.
Primary Batteries are use and throw kind of batteries which cant be recharged again for reuse,
Secondary Batteries are can be used even after discharging by charging them multiple time.
Anode is a Reducing Electrode and it release electrons and generally got oxidised during electro chemical reaction.
Cathode gain electrons from the electrical circuit
Electrolyte is the medium that facilitate the transfer of ions between Anode and Cathode.
Battery type are depends on the anode ,cathode and electrolyte used in the like Zinc-Carbon batteries, Lithium-ion battries, Magnesium , Mercury
(2) Fuse
Its is require to safe the equipment from high voltage losses
there are 3type of fuse - Cartirage type, Rewireable type and High Ruptring Capacity type
In Cartriage type of fuse a conducting wire is used inside a glass tube type ,wire is connected from both the end . If the fuse is of 5A of acapcity and current flow above, then the wire inside the cartriage will melt and current flow will stop , this can not be reused and need to changed after every action, used in electronic gadget , home appliances .
In rewaireable this type of fuse can be seen in home meters , In which Conducting wire in tight from one end to another and if current flow above the capacity of wire then it will melt and a new wire has to be tied between two ends again, they a reusable but not easy repaire
High Rupturing Capacity (HRC) this is same type of cartirage type of fuse the only difference is that inside the cartriage some materials are filled to lessen the arc shape of wire if current flow is little above the capacity of it, the are also not reuseable and need to be changed after every action
(3) Generator
They are use to convert Mechnical to electrical energy , Current and Voltage produced by the generator is depend on the Shaft Speed (RPM) and the required load . It has two majore part Stator and Rotor. Generally for DC Generator magnetic field ison the stator and winding is on the rotor. The generated currennt is passed through the commutator which is of copper ring and brush arragment is in conatct with the commutator which take current to output terminal .The commutator mechnically reverse the armature coil connection to the external circuit producing the pulsuating voltage .
ANS-3 Fuse rating should always be above the load rating it should always be 125% of the load so in 125% of 10A is 12.5A
ANS-4 Given is Load of 500W and Voltage is of 12V as we know Power =Voltage*Current but P/V =I , 500/12=41.66 A
ANS-5 Parallel connection have 2 or more number of nodes in a circuit.
ANS-6 Fuse and Ammeter are connected in Series ,A series connection can be identifies with the help of number of NODE, if the elements are connected in single node then they are in series.
