Project - Analysis of a practical automotive wiring circuit

1. Battery, Generator, Stator, Fuse, Current and Voltage regulator and Ignition Switch

2. ( i ) Battery : It is used to release the electric current to the system.

( ii ) Fuse : It is used to prevent short circuits in the system and also protect electrical equipments from more current.

( iii ) Generator : It generates the current while the system is running.

3. P = V I

I = P / V

I = 10 / 12

Fuse Rating, I = 8.33 A.

4. P = V I

I = P / V

= 500 / 12

I = 41.67 A

Capacity of Battery = I x t

= 41.67 x 1 ( Assuming for 1 hour )

Capacityn of Battery = 41.67 Ah

5. Dome light and tail stop are connected in parallel because they are separate lighting functions that serve different purposes.

6. Light switch and Parking lamp are connected in series because they share common node and same current passes through them, so that whenever the light swtch turned ON, the parking lamp will glow the light.
