Project - Analysis of a practical automotive wiring circuit
1.Battery, starter, ammeter, foot selector switch, generator, current voltage regulator, distributor, ignition coil, breaker.
2. Starter:: A starter or starter motor is an electrical device that used to rotate (crank) internal combustion engines so as to initiate the engine’s operation under its own power. As soon as the engine begins to run, it gets disconnected from the engine, which now relies on the combustion process. It consists of brushes, commutator, magnets, coil,armature.
Ignition coil::
The basic principle of an ignition coil
To produce the required high voltages, ignition coils make use of the relationships that exist between electricity and magnetism.
When an electric current flows through an electrical conductor such as a coil of wire, it creates a magnetic field around the coil. The magnetic field (or, more precisely, magnetic flux) is effectively a store of energy, which can then be converted back into electricity.
Generator:: Responsible for the charging of the battery which is important for the electrical equipments to function properly. also known as alternator.
3. Min 15 amps of fuse is required.
4. refer to the pdf
5.Headlight unit and the dome light unit assembly are in parallel because the current required is different but the voltage is same.
6. Headlight unit and the horn unit are in series connection because voltage required and the current is same and distributed.
