Challenge

Project - Analysis of a practical automotive wiring circuit

Solution 1 :

1. Battery, 2. Generator, 3. Breaker, 4. Starter, 5. Distributor, f. Junction Block, g. Current & Voltage Regulator, h. Fuse, i. Ammeter, j. Ignition Switch, k. Ignition coil, l. Foot Selector Switch

Solution 2 :

1. Battery : Battery used to provides the power supply to operate the vehicle.

2. Current & Voltage regulator : Current & voltage regulator is used to maintain or regulate the current & voltage requirements of all the components in the vehicle depending on there needs.

3. Ammeter : To measure the current flowing through the circuit.

Solution 3 :

If the total load is 10 A from battery, then the fuse rating should be between 12 A to 15 A depending upon the load on the circuit.

Solution 4 :

Given : Load = 500W

To find : Voltage = ? & Capacity of battery = ?

Solution : Assuming the voltage of the battery = 12V

then, Power = Voltage * Current

=> 500 W = 12 V * Current => Current = 500/12 = 41.66 A

Assuming the load applied for 1 hour, then, Capacity of Battery = 41.66 Ah

Solution 5 :

Foot Selector switch & both junction blocks are Connected in parallel to provide a constant voltage for Sealed Beam & horn to work.

Solution 6 :

Battery & Ammeter are connected in series. Ammeter is connected to battery in series to measure the current flowing through the circuit.
