Project - Analysis of a practical automotive wiring circuit
ans 1: The major elements in the above automotive wiring diagram are:
1. Battery
2. starter
3. Ammeter
4. Gas tank unit
5. DDMC LT
6 Platc light
7. Fuse
8. Dome light switch
9. Tail stop
10. light switch
11. beam light
12. Horn button
13. Stop LT sw.
14. Ignition switch
15. fuel meter
16. Foot selector switch
17. current and voltage regulator
18. Generator
19. Ignition coil
20. Distributor
21. Breaker
22. Parking lamp
23. scaled beam
24. Horn
25. Juntion block
26. Ground(earthing)
Ans 2:
The purpose and working of the three elements ate as followa:
1. stater:
The purpose of the starter is start the engine when we turn the key or press the engine start button.
Working:The starter has starting ring gear that engages the engines fiywheel as soon as the key is turned on.This helps in roating the crankshaft. This in turn daws air and fuel into the cylinder and starts the combustion process once the combustion process is started, then the engine rely on the inertia from each cycle to initiate the next cycle.
2. Battery : A battery in a automotive car is used to start a motor vehicle. It is a rechargable battery, its main purpose is to provide current to the electric powered stating motor. It also supplies power to the cars electrical system. In a electric vehicle the batteries acts as the heart of the automobile system.the battery recharges itself with the help of alternator so as to rovide power to the car whenever required.
3.Fuse:
The fuse box in cars ar used to protect the electronic equipments within the vehicle.A car fuse box has different fuses, and diodes to protect the electrical circuit from overload or short circuit.it consist of a conductor that breaks when the current crosses certain limit.
Ans 3 :
Given
Total load = 10A
we know,
The fuse rating is always taken as 150% of the rated load rating
so, Fuse rting = 150% of 10
=1.5 *10
= 15 A
Ans 4 :
given,
load=500 w
assuming voltage,V =12V
capacity of the battery in wh =500 wh
capacity in Ah =500/12 = 41.66Ah
Ans 5:
Two elements which are connected parallel to each other are the Horn and bulb.these are connected in parallel as in parallel connection, the voltage that each element or load gets is same.i.e each element is exposed to the full pottential difference supplied by the electrical system, giving maximum output.
Ans 6:
Two elements that are connected in series are ammeter and the bulb, horn and all other elements. As we know in series connection same current is supplied across the circuit.so. when we connect these given elements in series in a circuit it same amount of current and passes through them and each element can give maximum output. The current cam be measured through the ammeter
