Project - Analysis of a practical automotive wiring circuit

1) Major elements in above diagrams - (1) Battery, (2) Generator, (3) Starter, (5) Ground.

2) (1) Battery - It is used to store energy in chemical form. It supplies DC voltage. It's the combination of cells connected in series or parallel. The chemical reactions in cells results in flow of electricity. (2) Starter - It is an electrical device which controls the electrical power for starting a motor. These electrical devices are also used for the purpose of stopping, reversing and protecting electric motors. (3) Generator - It is a device that converts mechanical energy into electrical energy. It supplies the electrical energy for charging the battery of a vehicle.

3) I = P÷V

=(V×I)÷V

=(12×10)÷12

=10 A

4) E=P×T

=500w.hr

I=P÷V

=500÷12

=41.66 A.hr

5) Two cells of a battery are connected in parallel to get more current capacity.

6) Two cells of a battery are connected in series to get more voltage capacity.
