Project Report: Analysis of Loan Applicant Data at IJS Bank Limited

Introduction: The purpose of this project is to analyze the data of loan applicants at IJS Bank Limited for the current quarter. The data was collected from the bank's database and includes information on the loan applicants' demographic information, employment status, income, and credit score.

Methodology: The data was preprocessed to handle missing values and outliers. The exploratory data analysis (EDA) was performed to understand the distribution of the data and to identify any trends and patterns. The data was visualized using various charts and graphs to make it easier to understand and interpret.

Findings: The EDA revealed that the majority of the loan applicants were employed, with a relatively stable employment status. The income distribution showed that most of the applicants had an average to high income.

The credit score distribution of the applicants showed that the majority had a good to excellent credit score, with a small percentage having a fair credit score.

Conclusions and Recommendations: Based on the findings, it can be concluded that the majority of loan applicants at IJS Bank Limited have stable employment status and a good to excellent credit score. This suggests that the bank can expect a relatively low default rate for loan applicants in the current quarter.

In order to further improve the loan approval process, the bank can consider implementing a more robust credit scoring system that takes into account additional factors such as employment stability and income level. This will help the bank make informed decisions and minimize the risk of loan defaults.

Future Work: To further improve the accuracy of the findings, the bank can conduct a time series analysis to identify any trends in the loan applicant data over time. Additionally, the bank can collect more data on the loan applicants' financial and credit history to better understand their risk profile and to make more informed loan approval decisions.
