Project 2

Project 2 - Backdoor Wiring Harness Assembly.

Objectie - Route a wiring harness in a backdoor of a automotive vehicle (Ex. - LMV OR MUV).

Introduction - Route a wiring harness in a backdoor of a vehicle, with the help of multiple connectors and p-clamp or clip as a support part.

Assumptions - To route the wiring harness no. of connectors i have used as required and possition them at every possible points, According to use of electrical parts of vehicle like lights and rear wiper and location of them.

Describe - To start the routing first identify the no. of electrical parts used in backdoor and connect them with bundle segment with the help of connectors and p-clamp as a support part.

In this project I have used connectors as

1 - 8-pole connector

3 - 4-pole connector

1 - 2 pole connector

And defined them electrically.

For wiring harness used bundle segment of dimenssions - 10mm & 5mm

and P-clamp is used as support for bundle segment.

For protection covering corrugated tubes are used of 10mm and 5mm as required.

Explaination with images - In this wiring harness routing first i have possitioned all the electrically defined connectors in required places and connect them with bundle segment using multibranchable documents.

To provide electrical signals for back light, side indicators, brake light, parking sensors, lamp on number plate and rear wiper.

In a bundle segment as a supprot part i have used P-clamp. After completing routing i have used corrugated tubes to provide the protection to all the bundle segment.

Flatten workbench is used to flatten the geometrical bundle. And also create a drawing all of them.

Conclusion - Routing of backdoor wiring harness is completed using catia v5.
