The throughput is observed to be very less than MIMO.

As MIMO is having multiple antennas, it has much better throughput than single antennas.

It has the best capacity among all other comparisions such as SISO, SIMO etc.

Due to it better throughput and capacity, it has wide range of applications.

MIMO antenna has the signal that can be transmitted in Spatial domain,

and it gives the optimum BER values for transmission and reception.

The resulting system complexity increment in terms of key components required are :

In SISO, the requirement of hardware consists of one Tx and one Rx.

In MIMO, the requirement of hardware involves multiple antennas at both Tx and Rx side.
