Project Report: Analysis of white wine and red wine Datasets

Introduction: The aim of this project is to analyze two datasets containing information about white wine and red wine samples. We will explore various aspects of the datasets, including descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and hypothesis testing, to gain insights into the characteristics of white and red wines.

Data Description:

· White Wine Dataset: This dataset contains various attributes of white wine samples, including acidity levels, alcohol content, residual sugar, and quality ratings.

· Red wine Dataset: Similar to the white wine dataset, this dataset contains attributes of red wine samples.

Analysis:

1. Descriptive Statistics: We began the analysis by calculating descriptive statistics for key attributes in both white wine and red wine datasets, including alcohol content, density, acidity levels, residual sugar, and quality ratings.

2. Correlation Analysis: We investigated the relationships between different attributes within each dataset. Specifically, we examined correlations between alcohol content, acidity levels, residual sugar, and quality ratings.

3. Hypothesis Testing:

· Comparison of Density: We performed a hypothesis test to compare the density of white wine and red wine samples. The null hypothesis was that there is no difference in density between white wine and red wine samples. We used a t-test to assess the statistical significance of the difference.

· Comparison of properties: We calculated the confidence interval for the difference in proportions of white wine and red wine samples with a quality rating of 3. This analysis aimed to determine if there is a significant difference in the proportion of low-quality wines between the two types.

Results:

· Descriptive statistics revealed differences in key attributes between white wine and red wine samples.

· Correlation analysis showed varying relationships between attributes within each dataset.

· The hypothesis test comparing density indicated a statistically significant difference between white wine and red wine samples.

· The confidence interval for the difference in proportions of low-quality wines suggested a significant difference between white wine and red wine samples with a rating of 3.

Conclusion: In conclusion, our analysis provided insights into the characteristics of white and red wines. While there are similarities in some attributes, such as acidity levels and quality ratings, there are also significant differences, such as density. These findings contribute to a better understanding of the differences between white wine and red wine samples.
