Test Plan for New Mobile Phone Features:
Objective: The objective of this test plan is to verify the functional requirements of the new mobile phone and ensure that they are working as per the specification provided.
Scope: The scope of the testing includes the functional testing of the black box features of the new mobile phone.
Test Environment: The testing will be performed on a physical device that is running the latest version of the operating system. The device will have all the necessary applications installed and will be connected to a network for testing purposes.
Test Approach: The black box testing approach will be used to test the features of the mobile phone. The testing will be performed by using various inputs and verifying the corresponding outputs.
Test Cases:
US-1.Power ON with Company Logo:
Verify that when the power button is long-pressed, the phone switches on with the company logo at the center of the screen.
US-2.Presence of APPS:
Verify that when the power button is pressed, the phone is switched on and all the icons of the APPS are present in the grid.
US-3."Call the phone" icon:
Verify that when the phone is powered ON, the "call the phone" icon is the first icon at the bottom bar of the screen.
US-4"Dictionary" icon:
Verify that when the phone is powered ON, the "Dictionary" icon is the second icon at the bottom bar of the screen.
US-5.Contacts visibility:
Verify that when the "call the phone" icon is clicked, all the contacts are visible based on chronological order.
US-6.Search bar for Dictionary:
Verify that when the "Dictionary" icon is clicked, a search bar appears at the middle of the screen to let the user search for the meanings of the words they desire.
US-7.Power OFF with "Good-Bye" message:
Verify that the mobile screen should show "Good-Bye" Message when switched off by long pressing my"power on"button.
US-8.Font and Size:
Verify that the font in the mobile is always "Calibri (Body)" and is of size 12.
US-9.Touch responsiveness:
Verify that the UI of the mobile phone need to be a touch-responsive.
US-10.No Hard Buttons:
Verify that the mobile phone should not have any hard buttons.
Test Deliverables: The following test deliverables will be provided:
- Test Plan Document
- Test Case Document
- Test Summary Report
Conclusion: The test plan aims to verify the functional requirements of the new mobile phone. The test cases will be executed to ensure that the features are working as per the specifications. Any issues found during testing will be reported to the development team for further action. Once all the features are verified, the product can be passed on to User Acceptance Testing.
