Test Plan: New Mobile Phone Features(BLACKBOX Testing)
Objective: Test plan is to ensure that the features of the new mobile phone meets the requirements.
Scope: Test plan includes blackbox testing of the following features of the new mobile phone.
- Power Button functionality
- App icon grid
- Bottom bar icons
- Contacts display
- Dictionary search bar
- Power off message
- Font type and size
- Touch responsiveness
- No hard buttons
Test Strategy: It will involve a combination of manual and automated testing techniques. The manual testing will involve exploring the user interface and validating that the features work as expected.
Test Environment: It will consist of a mobile phone testing device that will be used to simulate the different user interactions with the phone.
Test Cases:
- Power button functionality:
- Test case 1.1: Long press power button to turn on phone and validate company logo at center of the screen.
- Test case 1.2: Press power button to turn on phone and validate presence of all icons in the grid.
- Bottom bar icons:
- Test case 2.1: Verify "call the phone" icon is first icon on bottom bar.
- Test case 2.2: Verify "Dictionary" icon is second icon on bottom bar.
- Contacts display:
- Test case 3.1: Click on "call the phone" icon to view contacts in chronological order.
- Dictionary search bar:
- Test case 4.1: Click on "Dictionary" icon to view search bar at middle of screen.
- Power off message:
- Test case 5.1: Long press power button to turn off phone and verify "Good-Bye" message.
- Font type and size:
- Test case 6.1: Verify font type is "calibri (Body)" and font size is 12.
- Touch responsiveness:
- Test case 7.1: Test touch responsiveness of UI.
- No hard buttons:
- Test case 8.1: Verify absence of hard buttons on the phone.
