Project 1 - Setting up Virtual Machine

1. IP Address of attacker and victim machines are shown:

Attacker machine:

Victim machine:

2. MSFvenom Payload Creator (MSFPC) is a user-friendly multiple payload generator that can be used to generate Metasploit payloads based on user-selected options.

3. Attacker machine, in kali linux using netcat command listen on a particular port.

The victim machine which is a windows machine should connect on the same port of attacker machine by giving the attacker IP address through netcat command. When connected, both the machines can send messages or monitor information from victim machine. (7555)

4. Now, in this step, from the attacker machine used the netcat command on port 4444 for gaining reverse shell access to victim's machine. After getting connected with victim's machine(windows) on port 4444 using the netcat command. Here in victim's machine, the command is executed using -e through attacker's IP address in cmd.exe used for for windows machine(victim).

After the above steps, the attackers machine(Kali Linux) will get the access of victim's cmd.exe controls. Using net user command displayed the list of user accounts available on the victim (Windows Server) machine.

5. From the attacker's machine, using netsh command line script which is used to display the network configurations. By using netsh firewall command which is used by a show state command in displaying the firewall status from the victim's machine(windows).
