Project 1-Meshing of Rear Wheel Holder challenge
Aim :- Meshing of Rear Wheel Holder with mentioned quality criteria.
OBJECTIVE:
- Extract the mid surface
- Geometry cleanup
- Meshing given door model using the given quality criteria checks
- Good mesh flow.
- Assign thickness
PROCEDURE :
- Import the component and click F to see the component in the GUI area as shown below.

As model has some geometry problems we need to fix that :-

Options used to fix snap problems :-
- Geom-Quick edit-split surf line
- Geom-Quick edit-split node
- Geom-Quick edit-toggle edge
- Geom-Quick edit-delete surf
- Geom-Quick edit-filler surf

As door model has thickness less then 6 mm we can use 2D meshing.
- Next step to generate Mid-surface

Options used to get good surface :-
- Geom-Quick edit-split surf line
- Geom-Quick edit-split node
- Geom-Quick edit-toggle edge
- Geom-Quick edit-delete surf
- Geom-Quick edit-filler surf
Result of auto mid surface :-

- For better mesh flow we have to do some geometriacal clean-up
- Geom-Quick edit-split surf line
- Geom-Quick edit-split node
- Geom-Quick edit-toggle edge
- Geom-Quick edit-delete surf
- Geom-Quick edit-filler surf

- As the mid-surface is generated now next setp is mesh the model surface by surface
- Before meshing the qiality criteria requirements can be filled by the command: preferences + criteria file settings

Option used for meshing :-
- 2D- automesh -surf
- 2D - rebuilt
- 2D - qualityindex - all options
- 2D - edit element
- Geom - node edit
Some Meshing Snap :-

- Next step is to check for edges inside mesh (No Open edges are found)

- Check for normals

- Next step is to assign thickness for all surface

CONCLUSION:
The mid surface has been extracted for the given model and the mesh was generated within the given quality criteria.
