Project 1 English Dictionary App

Hello Team,

PFA the - .ipynb and .html files for your reference below.

I have also added a module choices.py -- which contains the logic for each user choice along with some dummy dictionary and preprocessing functions.

Note:

• The program runs smoothly by either already having a words.txt file or not having one and starting the application. In the latter case with no file, the application will take all commands but keep prompting the user to add new words to the file.
• You can comment or uncomment the dummy_dict function to play with both scenarios. When the cell is run, a words.txt file is created and a dummy English dict is created as well.
• Error handling is extensively employed to only allow valid English words, meanings and command prompt from the user.
• I am purposely not adding my words.txt file as the program is self-sufficient and runs without any hassle.

To improve the project further, I thought of some points:

• Taking a 30K-35K dictionary txt file from Github, preprocess the raw data and able to store it as a formatted JSON object in a txt file.
• Randomly sampling 1K-5K words from it to have an exhaustive dictionary to play around with.
• Creating a GUI application for this task with my logic underneath the hood.

Kindly, let me know any specific areas where I could have added more functionality or made the code more efficient.

Also, feedback on how to improve the project further.
