Project 1 _Creating an Architectural plan for the provided plot size and develop relevant basic structural drawings

AIM:

The aim of the project is do design a Residential Space in a 60'x20' plot size.The idea of this project was obtained from an under-construction house I visited. It consists of Ground floor, First Floor and a terrace level.

PROCEDURE :

1. First the size of the plot is marked with the help of construction lines after setting the limits and units of the drawing sheet
2. Construction line in horizontal and vertical direction are drawn using the command ‘XL- h’ and ‘XL-v’
3. Another offset of 6" and 4" is created for internal walls.
4. Once the Ground Floor plan is set all the layers are created and the blocks are created for Furnitures and doors.
5. A corner is created by trimming the bottom and left side of the construction
6. In order to create outer wall of 9" thick, the offset command is used
7. Similarly offset lines are created based on the room size and dimensions mentioned in the plan.
8. The ground floor, first floor and terrace floor of the building is drawn with the help of all the drafting tools.
9. Once the architechtural plan is prepared, the shuttering layout of the building is created. The column locations are located so that they do not disturb the architectural intent.
10. The beams and columns and text are set
11. Once the shuttering layout of the residential building is prepared with the help of the drafting tools, the footing layout is created

RESULT:

The Residential Building is drawn within the given plot size i.e., 20'x60' and the beam and column layout of the same is also created.
