Project 1 - COVID-19 Vaccinations Trend Analysis
Abstract
An effective rollout of vaccinations against COVID-19 offers the most promising prospect of bringing the pandemic to an end. We present the Dataset of the COVID-19 vaccination, a global public dataset that track the scale and rate of the vaccine worldwide. The dataset is contain from December 2020 to March 2022, this contains data like how many vaccine are imported or manufactured in the country and how many of the people get vaccinated in different intervals of time
Main
From the start of the pandemic many of the people died and it causes the national crisis to the entire world, as of April 2021 there has been over 2.5 million confirmed deaths and over 130 million people were confirmed cases of infection with people all over the world. From the beginning of the pandemic, the government of the countries takes many steps and measures to stop the wide spread of the virus to the people. Like, precautionary action from individuals including social distancing, wearing face mask etc., school, institution and workplace are closed, bans on public gatherings, restrictions on travel etc. until the successful deployment of vaccines starts.
To understand the scale and rate of the vaccine rollout, we need timely, comparable data across countries. The vaccine dataset provides a public aggregated global dataset on vaccination done by the countries, it covers from December of 2020 to March of 2022 and the dataset covers over 224 countries dataset of vaccination and how they implied.
As vaccination campaign continues to scale, evidence for their effectiveness in reducing transmission, and people are completely cured from the disease
Cumulative of People Vaccinated and People Fully Vaccinated.
According to this dataset the first vaccination was held in Latvia on 4th of December 2020 and after that many of the country continued to issue the vaccination to their people and this is one great step to recovering from the great pandemic of the 21st century
The cumulative number of people vaccinated refers to the total number of individuals who have received a vaccine against a particular disease. This number is important because it helps to track the progress of vaccination efforts and to understand the overall impact of the vaccine on a population. The cumulative number of people vaccinated can be used to measure the effectiveness of a vaccine and to identify any potential issues with distribution or uptake. It can also be used to monitor the effectiveness of vaccination campaigns and to identify any potential bottlenecks or challenges that may be hindering progress. Overall, the cumulative number of people vaccinated is an important metric for understanding the impact of a vaccine and for ensuring that as many people as possible are protected against diseases. From this we can see that the top 5 countries that has vaccinated the higher number of peoples are India, United States of America, Brazil, Indonesia, China
This disease take two or three dosage depends upon the vaccination to cure or prevent the disease. So the sum of people vaccinated and sum of the people fully recovered will differ, because the main aim of country has to each people get minimum of single vaccination to prevent them from the disease or decrease the chances of getting or decrease the mortality rate of the people
People who are fully vaccinated have received all necessary doses of a vaccine and have waited the recommended amount of time and dosage for the vaccine to become effective. Being fully vaccinated offers a high level of protection against a particular disease, although it is not always 100% effective. The percentage of people who are fully vaccinated can be used to track progress towards herd immunity, which occurs when a large enough percentage of a population is immune to a disease, either through vaccination or previous infection, to significantly reduce the spread of the disease. Increasing the number of people who are fully vaccinated can help to protect those who are unable to receive vaccines, such as young children or people with certain medical conditions, and can also help to reduce the overall burden of a disease on a population. It is important for people to follow the recommended vaccination schedule to ensure that they are fully vaccinated and to help protect themselves and their communities.
Daily Vaccination
A daily vaccination report is a document that provides information about the number of people who have received a vaccine on a particular day. This information can be useful for tracking the progress of vaccination efforts and identifying any potential issues or challenges that may be hindering progress. Daily vaccination reports can be used by public health officials, healthcare providers, and policy makers to understand the impact of a vaccine and to make informed decisions about resources and interventions
From this cumulative dataset we can able to estimate the average of the daily vaccination given by the government to the people country wise. By this we can guess how many of the people of the country get the vaccine in the regular interval of time from this data we can see that the china has the maximum average of daily vaccine distribution to the people second is India
Total Vaccination Per Hundred by Country
The total vaccination per hundred is a measure of the proportion of a population that has received a vaccine. It is calculated by dividing the total number of people who have been vaccinated by the total population size, and then multiplying by 100. This measure is often used to track the progress of vaccination efforts and to understand the overall impact of a vaccine on a population. A high total vaccination per hundred indicates that a large proportion of the population has been vaccinated, which may be an indication of the effectiveness of the vaccine and the efficiency of the vaccination campaign. A low total vaccination per hundred, on the other hand, may indicate that more work is needed to increase vaccination rates and protect the population from disease. The total vaccination per hundred is an important metric for understanding the effectiveness of a vaccine and for ensuring that as many people as possible are protected against diseases.
People Fully Vaccinated by Hundred
The total people fully vaccinated per hundred is a measure of the proportion of a population that has received a vaccine and the people are completely cured or get all the required dosage of vaccine to completely cure or prevent them from the disease. This measure is used to track down how many of people completely cured by the vaccine in the overall population of people converting to hundred.
By comparing the total vaccine per hundred, People vaccinated per hundred, People fully vaccinated by hundred we can track the progress of how the country able to provide the vaccine to the people and how many of them completely cured. And by taking the average of this value gives the difference of these value and try to increase the efficiency and trace the efficiency of the country
And there are other calculation that helps to trace the other parameters of giving vaccine and the factors contributing the efficiency of the country vaccine distribution in the pandemic.
The average of people fully vaccinated per hundred of the entire world is 36 people per hundred and the average people vaccinated per hundred is 40 people per hundred so the difference is about 4 people per hundred is vaccinated and not fully vaccinated by considering the whole world population
Total vaccination by hundred gives how many of the vaccination on the country for hundred people in the country by considering the total population of the country that why the total vaccination and total vaccination by hundred has different outcomes
And there are other parameters like Daily vaccination per million which gives the people vaccinated dividing the total number of people who have been vaccinated by the total population size, and then multiplying by million.
Limitation
In this dataset the information given are the vaccination distribution but there is no data about the people affected by the disease or mortality rate of the disease or any effects due the vaccine or not known.
Because of this we can only calculate how effectively each country delivers the vaccine to the people in daily or over the period of time basis
Conclusion
In general, vaccines play a critical role in protecting individuals from serious illness and reducing the spread of disease. Countries around the world have implemented vaccination programs in order to protect their populations and control the spread of infectious diseases. The effectiveness of these programs can be influenced by a number of factors, including the availability of vaccines, the willingness of individuals to get vaccinated, and the logistics of administering the vaccines.
From the given data we can conclude how many of the people get vaccinated, how many of the people get fully vaccinated, how many vaccines are made or get to the country for protecting the people
