Project 1 - COVID-19 Vaccinations Trend Analysis

Aim:

To make a visualization report of the given dataset to gain better insights.

Introduction:

Given dataset is a Covid-19 vaccination report for each country from Covid duration.

Dataset showing how many vaccines have been given to how many people within the country and from which source.

Dataset has 15 columns ie. [country, iso_code, date, total_vaccinations, people_vaccinated, people_fully_vaccinated, daily_vaccinations_raw, daily_vaccinations, total_vaccinations_per_hundred, people_vaccinated_per_hundred, people_fully_vaccinated_per_hundred, daily_vaccinations_per_million, vaccines, source_name, source_website]

Problem Statement:

Try to find out which country gave their best to provide vaccines to their people.

Methodology:

Used group by method to make grouped data table based on each country.

Use different charts like heat map, Clustered column, Area Chart, and so on.

To make it more interesting use features like drill-down, bookmarks, and buttons.

Use different colors to make it look good.

Analysis:

Prepared four different sheets:

Per country analysis --> In this sheet we have made a clustered bar chart to compare the daily vaccination count with the total vaccination count along with their country name and source name.

Source Analysis --> By using the drill-down feature we make a vaccine distribution area chart based on different sources.

Yearly Analysis --> Prepared a vaccination bar chart based on the count of vaccines for each country and different years with the help of drill down feature.

Heat map Analysis --> With three different buttons, we compared the average of daily vaccinations, the count of total people vaccinated, and the count of fully vaccinated people for each country.

Insights:

The top 3 Daily vaccinated countries are: China, India, United States.

The top 3 Countries with the maximum number of fully vaccinated people are: India, United States, China.

Based on the distribution of vaccines National Health Commission is the largest vaccine distributor across the globe and the lowest is the Government of Falkland Islands.

China has vaccines around 35.42% of total vaccines across all the countries.

Recommendation:

Sources like the National Health Commission, the Government of India, and Centres for Disease Control and Prevention are the largest distributors across the globe should send vaccines to countries like Pitcairn, Tokelau, Niue, and Falkland Islands as they are short of vaccines.

Countries like China, Brazil, Indonesia, and Germany should focus on getting people fully vaccinated to reduce the chances of getting infected again as these countries have enough vaccine stocks.

Conclusion:

The frequency of daily vaccination is high in China but the number of fully vaccinated people is higher in India.

National Health Commission is the largest vaccine distributor across the globe and lowest is the Government of Falkland Islands.
