Project 1 - COVID-19 Vaccinations Trend Analysis

Data Collection: Obtain the COVID-19 vaccinations data from reliable sources such as government health departments, World Health Organization (WHO), or other reputable data repositories. The data should include information on the number of vaccinations administered, the type of vaccine, vaccination dates, and location.

Data Preparation: Clean and transform the data to fit the desired format for analysis in Power BI. Ensure that the data is structured and well-organized, with proper data types assigned.

Import Data into Power BI: Open Power BI Desktop and import the prepared data into the Power BI model. You can use various data sources like Excel, CSV, or SQL Server, depending on where your data is stored.

Create Visualizations: Design visualizations to represent the vaccinations trend. Some key visualizations to consider are:

a. Line Chart: Display the trend of daily or weekly vaccinations over time. b. Bar/Column Chart: Compare the number of vaccinations by vaccine type or location. c. Map Visualization: Show vaccination rates by geographic regions or countries using a map. d. Pie Chart: Display the distribution of vaccine types used.

Add Filters and Slicers: To make the dashboard interactive, add filters and slicers. These allow users to focus on specific regions, time periods, or vaccine types. Users can then interact with the data to drill down and analyze the trends in greater detail.

Include Key Metrics: Incorporate relevant metrics such as the total number of vaccinations, vaccination rates per capita, and vaccination coverage by region or country.

Analyze Effectiveness: If you have access to data on COVID-19 cases and outcomes, you can analyze the effectiveness of vaccinations in reducing infection rates and hospitalizations. For instance, you can create visuals that show the decline in cases after the vaccination rollout.

Publish and Share: Once you have designed the dashboard, publish it to Power BI service to share it with others. You can create a workspace, add the dashboard to it, and share the workspace with stakeholders or the public.

Periodic Updates: As new data becomes available, update your Power BI dashboard regularly to keep it current and relevant.
