Project 1 : CFD Meshing for Tesla Cyber Truck
Aim:-
- To successfully create a surface and volume mesh for the given model along with a wind tunnel free of topological errors and quality concerns.
Procedure:-
- We first visually inspect the model for topological errors like single cons, triple cons etc.

- Here we see a lot of red cons, so we select the whole model and apply the topo options available in the faces toolbar
- After which we can see a small number of errors, which will be fixed by examining them and editing the surfaces according to requirement.

- We notice the whole model is under one PID, this will create problems while meshing, So we Create new PID and assign the appropriate surfaces.

- Now we move on to the next step, surface meshing, the mesh length of each PID is not specified and hence it is as follows
- Windshield and glasses - 3mm
- Body - 3mm
- Wheels- 4mm
- Headlights - 3mm
- So we now mesh the PIDs accordingly and provide the target length as a range of values for surfaces of different mesh length PIDs in contact with each other.
- After this we measure the length and height of the car and take it as x and y.
- We create a point relative to the points shown below.

- Assuming the 1st picture denotes point A and the Second picture denotes point B.
- We create a relative point y+1000 below point B and 5Y above it, and also we create a point at a distance of 3X in front of point A and a distance of 7x behind point B.
- Now we create two rectangular surfaces and enclose them using 4 other rectangles. We mesh these surfaces using 100mm and 20mm as mesh lengths.
- Now we move to the next step, volume mesh, we define the volumes present in the model using the "define" option in the volumetric mesh section.

- Now ANSA Displays 5 closed surfaces out of which the one shown above is selected and the rest are deleted.
- Now we select the Re-mesh option and wait for ANSA to render us the volumetric mesh.
*Since the Volumetric mesh takes too long it is not been done in this case.*
