AMERICAN CHOPPER

The objective of this work is to design a 3D model of an American Chopper from scratch. Individual parts are to be modelled individually and then they are to be assembled.

For the design of the Chopper, there were are a total of 13 components that were individually designed. They were chain, chassis, front fender, front fork, engine, front wheel, rear wheel, gastank, kickstand, oiltank, pedal, transmission belt and rear fender. They all were then finally assembeled using mates to form a complete choppper design. And then finally, the design of chopper had to go through a photorealistic render to see the resutls in a real world environment.

Design methodology is as follows:

1. With the opening of Soliworks application, the file is to be renammed accordingly and also the planes according to our convenience.

2. The plane of our desire is to be chosen and a 2D sketch is to be drawn on it.

3. Then, a corresponding feature is to be applie to the 2D sketch drawn for it to be converted into a 3d model of a solid sketch.

4. Then, further corresponding parameters can be given to the now 3D structure so as to get a more realistic approach to the model.

5. New planes and sketches are to be implemented and drawn as per the necessity so as to reach to the final conclusion and the full definition of the particula model being created.

6. The appearences of the model can be altered to change the color and material as well.

7. Once all these are done and all the necessary parts have been modelled, they are to be opened in the assembly to be assembled.

8. Once all the models are imported into the assembly, they are given mate realtions so as to maintain the necessary constrains and to produce a meaningful structure.

9. Any necessary changes can be made in the assembly module.

10. Once a satisfactory place is attained with respect to the structure of the assembly model, then it is subjected to a realistic render.

11. If satisfied with the render, the render is saved and used for further needs. Orelse, camers angles can be changed and we can attain a new render.

To conclude, the design of American Chopper was done successfully.
