Title: Design and assembly of American Chopper Bike

Objective: To design all the individual parts of the American Chopper and assembling them to make the complete model of American Chopper

Introduction:

In this project, all the individual parts i.e Transmission belt, Kickstand, Front fender, Rear fender, Oil Tank, Chain, Pedal, Front Wheel, Rear Wheel, Engine, Gas Tank, Front Fork of the American Chopper has been designed using the appropriate tools and definitive sketching methods using SolidWorks and all the parts are Assembled using the Assembly tool.

Design Approach:

Description:

Features that are used while designing are:

Extrude: Extrude extends the sketched profile into 3-D space.

Extruded-cut: It is a feature that removes a specific portion from the part.

Fillet: It is used to round the edges of the part.

Dome: It is used to create a dome on any circular, elliptical, or 4- sided surface.

Revolved: It is used to create a 3-D model by rotating a 2-D sketch about an axis.

Swept: It is used to add material along a curve by using a selected closed profile.

Shell: It is used to make a complete solid body hollow leaving off the thin walls of the body.

Assembly mates: They are used to position and orient a part with respect to others during assembly.
