Modelling and simulation of flow through a flowbench
Modelling and simulation through flow bench analysis
Aim :- In this study I used that flow bench to study distribution in the cylinder when a valve is introduced operating at different valve lifts conditions
Flow bench analysis is used for testing the intake port and exhaust port of cylinder head of internal combustion engine mainly for designing purpose in this study the calculate the flow rate of fluid and velocity and pressure at different valve lift conditions
The air flow bench can give a wealth of data about the characteristics of a cylinder head or whatever part is tested. The result of main interest is bulk flow. It is the volume of air that flows through the port in a given time. Expressed in cubic feet per minute or cubic meters per second/minute.
