Title : Mastering Solidworks User Interface
Objective : Model the Components shown below
- Transmission belt
- Kickstand
- Front fender
- Fear fender
Solution:
1. Transmission Belt
- Sketch 3point Arc and use line command to join them
- then give relations and dimension to sketch so that it should be Fully defined
- then use offset entities command
- then use feature i.e Extrude boss/base
- then give appereance to belt as Rubber matte finish.
2. KickStand
- Rename datum plane as per our convinence
- Sketch Elipse
- Then give relation and dimension to fix the position of elipse
- then draw spline i.e a guide curve
- Then use Loft feature
- then use Dome feature on both elipse
- Then we have to make flat spot at lower end so use split tool or cut extrude tool.
- And create a loft at upper end to fix the assembly
- Then create pivot for attachement
- then give fillet to all neccesary section
- Add apperarence .
3. Front Fender
- Sketch 3 point arc
- give relation and dimensions
- then offset arc
- join both arcs by extend and trim entities.
- Then use Revolve boss/base command.
- then skecth
- Then use split command to remove unwanted part.
- give fillet
- add apperence.
4.Rear Fender
- Sketch 3 point arc
- give relation and dimensions
- then offset arc
- join both arcs by extend and trim entities.
- Then use Revolve boss/base command.
- Fillet corners
- then Shell the inner side of fender.
Conclusion: In the way we have Model the Components :
- Transmission belt
- Kickstand
- Front fender
- Fear fender
