Internal Geneva Mechanism
The objective of the mini project:
1) Create 3D models for driver and driven wheels of Internal Geneva Mechanism.
2) Creating Assembly of Internal Geneva Mechanism.
3) Motion Study of the whole Internal geneva mechanism assembly (using precision and without precision).
4) Plot a graph of Contact force (between driving and the driven wheel) as a function of time.
5) Plot a graph of angular Displacement of the driven wheel.
Cad Geometry creation and assembly of Internal Geneva Mechanism-
A cad model of internal Geneva mechanism is created consisting of a driven and driving wheel (using the sketches provided in the task). The two components are then assembled using assembly mates.
Motion analysis setup -
a motor is applied to the driving wheel and a contact bodies pair is created between driving and the driven wheel.
we have to see 4 cases in total for this task
1] rpm of motor = 10 and without precise contact (60 Frames )
2] rpm of motor = 10 and with precise contact (60 Frames )
3] rpm of motor = 20 and without precise contact (120 Frames )
4] rpm of motor = 20 and with precise contact (120 Frames )

Conclusion:
1)From figure 1,2,5,6 it is clear that contact force increases with increase in rpm.
2)Precise contact gives analytically correct results.
3)Angular Velocity of the driven wheel increases and then decreases and then for some time remains constant and this pattern repeats ( slightly different curve pattern for 10 rpm and 20 rpm )
4) MAX Angular Velocity of the driven wheel increases as we increase the rpm.
5) Angular Displacement of the driven wheel remains constant as rpm increases.
