Fender Design - Wheel Arch Challenge
FENDER DESIGN- WHEEL ARCH CHALLENGE
AIM:
To calculate the wheel arch gap at required point and check whether the car passes europen standard.
PROCEDURE:
there are three type of wheel arch challenge namely,
- Us standard
- Japanese standard
- European standard
among these three our challenge is european let us do,
step1:
get skin wheel arch part to nx cad software.
step2:
create datum plane in wheel part.
step3:
create sketch option and some lines by using european requirements.
step4:
use projection curve to project the wheel arch line in sketch which is intersects the lines.
step5:
make intersection points which intersects the all the angled lines by using points options
step6:
finish the sketch, after that projected the all intersection points to wheel arch skin
step7:
now measure then value which the point from the sketch to projection line note the distance.
these the distance if the distance is equal to or greater than 10 the wheel arch design will be pass.other it fails. in our case ,

from the above tabulation the given wheel arch design is not pass in european requirement.
