Fender Design - Wheel Arch Challenge

Aim:

Calculate the Wheel Arc area and prove whether the car will pass the standards or Not.

wheel arch:

Wheel arch claddings are there to stop water and dirt ingress from getting into tight spots around the wings of the car to prevent corrosion. They also protect any electrics or pipework from the water.

Draw the sketch:

Create sketch like th eueropean stadard pattern

draw lines with given angle

create points inter section of two lines.

create points in inter section of the al meeting area of the two lines

then project the point on the fender

then measure the distance between the two points

the clearence should be above 10mm that is correct

Measure A point

the clearence value A is 9.5mm,it is not pass.

then measure the b point

The clearence value of B is 10mm,it is pass.

then measure the c point

the clearence value of C is 0.36mm,it is not pass

measure d point

the clearence value of D is -2 mm,it is not pass.

and measure e point

The clearence value of E is -5.5mm, it is not pass.

finally one point only above 10mm
