Fender Design - Wheel Arch Challenge
AIM: Calculate the Wheel Arch gap at required points and check whether the car passes the European standard
Given Design:

European Standards:

- The distances between the spots on the fender curve and wheel circle should be measured. To comply with European regulations, each of these must measure more than 10mm.
- At least 5mm should separate the SA, SB, and SC positions from the fender curve horizontally.
Calculations
Firstly we need to draw the outline of the wheel arc and fender curve and mark all the points and then measure it,then compare it with the standards
Sketch is made:

calculations are made on the sketch:

Distance between fender outer curve and the wheel is measured.

Conclusions:
| Length | Result | |
| SA | 25.9>10 | Passed |
| SB | 43.6>10 | Passed |
| SC | 35.36>10 | Passed |
| SD | 40.9>10 | Passed |
| SE | 43.7>10 | Passed |
| Outer curve to | length | result |
| SA | 9.8>5 | Passed |
| SB | 9.9>5 | Passed |
| SC | .117<5 | Failed |
