Design of backdoor

Objective:

             To design the back door of a car using Nx cad. the design of back door includes outer pannel , inner pannel , gas stay reinforcements, space to mount hinge,space for latch mechanism and also the space for wiper motor.

 Back Door:

                back door is the one which is mounted on the roof of the car normally with the hindge support.

the purpose of the back door is to cover the back portion of the car and gives the pretty look to the car.

the purpose of the car is to:

• porvide the windshield for the back visibility 
• protects the luggages from the rain and wind.
• provides housing for tail lamp and some rear sensors.
• some vehiles use it for entry and exit of the passengers.

Components of the back door:

• Outer pannel upper 
• outer pannel lower
• inner pannel upper
• inner pannel lower
• gas stay 
• Hinge reinforcements.
• Latch attachment

Considerations while designing Back Door;

• Proide clear visibility region.
• provide the space for acuating motor and wiper motor.
• provide the space for light.
• provide emboss in the inner pannel to give extra strength.
• provide the gas stay reinforcement to hold the gas stay.
• provide the hinge support reinforcement to hold hinge.

jioining Process used:

• Hemming process.
• Mastic .
• Asthetic glue.
