Back Door
Back door is one of the major part of an automobile which allows you to access rear side of the vehicle for keeping luggaes, spare wheels and other things etc.
There are many working positions for a back door like Top mount, side mount and bottom mount.
To design a back door we need to have a styling surface, which was given to us for understanding.
Back door assembly creation involves:
1- Back door Inner Panel
2-Back door Outer panel
3-Reinforcements-Latch & Stricker, Hinge, Wiper motor
Deep drawing process is used to create back door and its allies.
Other process like hemming and embossing were used in this process for joining and improving inner panel rigidity.
Back door Inner panel:

Back door inner panel is created by offsetting the styling surface followed by assigning tooling direction and sealing flange creation.
Inner panel thickness-0.75 mm
Outer Panel thickness-0.75 mm
Reinforcements-1.5 mm

Back door outer panel:

Conclusion:
The back door assy is created as per the requirements provided.
Stress releasing design cutout is made on the inner panel.
