Creating various 3D Models like Furniture, Footing, Girder, Column drop with panel and Gable Wall in AutoCad

1. ANS:

AIM: TO CREATE A 3D FURNITURE ELEMENTS AS GIVEN IN THE FIGURE AND NEED TO ASSUME DIMENSIONS WHICH ARE MISSING IN THE DIAGRAM.

INTRODUCTON:

1. The three dimensional furniture element was drawn in the autocad using the different tools in the autocad.

2. 3D models are widely used anywhere in 3D graphics and CAD.

3. Their use predates the widespread use of 3D graphics on personal computers.

4. The 3D models are mainly preferable in the civil engineering abd when we design o building in the autocad then creating 3d models should be must.

COMMANDS USED:

1. Line command.

2. Rectangle command.

3. UCS command.

4. Dimlinear command.

5. Region command.

6. Extrude command.

7. Subtract command.

8. Box command.

9. Units command.

10. Dimstyle command.

11. 3Dface command.

12. 3Dorbit command.

13. Hide command.

14. Explode command.

15. Move command.

16. Copy command.

17. Dist command.

PROCEDURE:

STEP - 1:

1. First we have to open the autocad and and need to set to the units and dimstyle.

2. Next we have to enter the UCS command and adjust ucs on the screen.

3. After setting the ucs on the screen we need to draw the line with the length of 3'.

4. Next draw the line from the previous line upwards with the length of 2'-6".

5. Again draw the line from the previous line with the length of 3' horizontally.

6. Next we have to use the extrude command to extrude the retangle towards back with the length of 2'.

STEP - 2:

1. Next we draw the rectangle inside the extruded box as shown in the below figure.

STEP - 3:

1. Next we have to extrude the recrtangle with the length of 1'-10" , as shown in the figure.

STEP -4:

Next we have to substract the inside the box from the outer box using the substract command as shown in the below figure.

STEP - 5:

Next we have to use 3D face command to hide the inner part and also we use hide command to hide them as shown in the figure.

STEP - 6:

Next we put the dimensions for the every part in the drawing using the dimlinear command as shown in the below figure.

STEP - 7:

Next we click the custom visuals styles at the top of left corner of the drawing screen and select the shaded option visual styles.

RESULT:

CREATED THE 3D MODEL OF THE GIVEN FURNITURE ELEMENT WITH PROPER DIMENSIONS IN THE AUTOCAD IN DETAIL.

PROCEDURE:

STEP - 1:

1. First we have to open the autocad and set the units using the units command.

2. Next select the dimstyle command and select primary units as architectural.

3. Next we use the ucs command to set the directions x-axis,y-axis and z-axis.

4. Next we draw the rectangle using the line command with the size of 3'x3'.

5. Next we use extrude command to extrude the upwards with the length of 6".

6. Next again we draw the another rectangle at the centre of the outer rectangle.

STEP - 2:

Next we use the move command to move the inner rectangle upeards with the length of 2'.

STEP - 3.:

Next we use the rulesurf command to join the 4 corners of the moved rectangle and four corners of extruded rectangle to coordinate each other.

STEP - 4:

1. Next we need to use 3Dface command to visible as a 3d model as shown in the figure.

2. Next we use the hide command and press enter, then we use to select the four corners of every part in the drawing.

3. After selecting the four corners of every part in the drawing and then press enter, the lines visible in the part will hide automatically after pressing the enter.

STEP - 5:

Next we need to put the dimensions for every part in the drawing as shown in the below figure.

STEP - 6:

Next we click the custom visual styles at the top left corner of the drawing screen and select the shaded option in the custom visual styles.

RESULT:

THE GIVEN 3D MODEL OF THE ISOLATED FOOTING IS DRAWN SUCCESSFULLY IN THE AUTOCAD IN DETAIL.
